Our Community
Everyone at Rickerbys recognises the importance of playing a role in our local community. We are regular sponsors of events at the Cheltenham Music, Literature, Jazz and Science Festivals as well as a multitude of other events.
We have a thriving Charity and Social Committee and each year our staff nominate a charity to support through the coming year. Our charitable fund-raising efforts not only help to raise money for a good cause but also provide opportunities for socialising and making friends within the firm. Our charity for this year is the Pied Piper Appeal, a charity dedicated to making a difference for sick children in the County by providing child friendly equipment to aid their recovery.
Staff are also encouraged to participate in other fund-raising and charitable activities in our local community and the Charity Committee has a fund available each year to support staff in these activities. We support local schools though work experience placements, sponsorship of sports teams and participation in careers evening and mock interviews.
We believe that it is our duty to act responsibly on environmental matters and have a recycling policy throughout the firm. We hope to extend this shortly to other measures which will benefit our environment.
