Business Masterclass Series
Rickerbys and Business Link are holding a series of workshops aimed at raising business knowledge within the county. The workshops bring together members of the county’s business community for a series of innovative tutorials and discussions in key areas from setting up a business to succession planning.
Workshop 1: From Small Acorns... 19 November, Rickerbys offices, 8.45am-12.30pm We will look at the building blocks for setting up a business including:
* the different trading vehicles available use from sole trader to companies and the pros and cons for each; * the importance of business plans and how to prepare one * the stresses and realities of working for yourself * raising finance and dealing with professional advisors * intellectual property and brand protection * dealing with customers and your terms and conditions * how to protect your business from financial and other risk
