Rickerbys LLP and Business Link join forces to support Gloucestershire's Business Community - January 2010

After the success of the first workshop last November, Rickerbys is delighted to announce the second in its series of five Business Masterclasses. These are being run in conjunction with Business Link and are aimed at supporting the local Business Community in the current climate.

The second workshop, entitled Selling and Growth, is to be held at Rickerbys’ offices in Cheltenham on 9 February 2010 from 8.30am-12.30pm and will look at the various routes to market and how to decide which one is best for your company. It will look at direct sales, agency and distribution; exploiting new online networking opportunities; why an effective e-commerce presence can be good for your business and how to get the best from your suppliers both here and overseas.

The half day Masterclasses aim to provide practical advice to local businesses on a range of topics which cover the lifecycle of a business from start up to succession planning and exit. The series will run until May 2010.

Forthcoming events in 2010 include:

24 March 2010: Managing and growing your team
28 April 2010: Building the business
18 May 2010: Exit and Succession planning.

Edward Davies, Partner at Rickerbys, said:

“The workshops are aimed at giving something back to the business community and playing our part in it. Professional advisors have a lot of experience for people to tap into. The aim of the first session was to equip new start ups to avoid pitfalls and from the excellent feedback we received, we definitely did this.

“The next workshop looks at the various routes to getting your goods and services to market. We have some strong speakers lined up. This isn’t just law, we’re providing “at the coal face” advice and I hope that the business community will take advantage and join us for one or all of these workshops.”

All workshops, which are free of charge, will be held at Rickerbys’ Offices in Ellenborough House, Wellington Street, Cheltenham. To book your place, please contact Aimie Haylings on 01242 224422 or email events@rickerbys.com.
