International software merger - August 07

Corporate, Commercial Property and Employment Team up for major deal.

Rickerbys, the leading South West law firm, led by corporate partner Jonathan Morley, advised client Confirmit on the acquisition of Pulse Train, to form the second largest software vendor serving the global market research industry.

This £4.4 million deal was supported by Rickerbys' Commercial Property Partner Philip Parkinson, Employment Partner Matthew Clayton and Corporate solicitor Craig Bryant.

With worldwide offices in Norway, the UK, the US and Russia, Confirmit, a company listed on the Oslo stock exchange, has a global reputation for providing software for Market Research and Enterprise Feedback Management.  Confirmit boasts an international client list including blue-chip companies British Airways, Hewlett Packard and Virgin Media.

Commenting on the deal, Jonathan Morley said: "This was an exciting and challenging transaction with many commercial and legal aspects to resolve including international jurisdictions. It has been rewarding to see the successful completion of the merger and the creation of a major force in software development.”
