Andrew Jennings
Growing up in Northern Ireland, Andrew studied at Belfast University before undertaking a masters in Criminology as he has a keen interest in conflict resolution. He chose Rickerbys because of the wide spectrum of work that he could gain experience from and was excited about relocating to a different country to continue his training.

In relocating to England for my training contract I left the comfort zone of friends, family and contacts. This was a difficult decision to make, but in doing so I have been rewarded with the experience of working with people who excel in their particular areas of expertise.

I have found their close guidance and the opportunity to manage a varied caseload is helping to prepare
me for qualification.

Anna Wood
After graduating Anna decided to travel and whilst in Germany she undertook a masters in Law and Economics at Hamburg University. On returning to the UK Anna found employment as a Legal Secretary at Rickerbys. This helped enormously when applying for a training contract as Anna had a firm understanding of how the legal profession works.

Working as a legal secretary gave me a valuable  insight into the legal profession, particularly  how solicitors work with each other as well as with clients.

I gained practical experience from working on cases involving a variety of issues and even everyday tasks like dictation typing helped expand my legal knowledge, which really helped when I started
the LPC.
