Glamour and excitement await you at the Gloucestershire Motor Show 2010!
Rickerbys LLP will be co-sponsoring the Gloucestershire Motor Show this summer at Highnam Court in Gloucester.
The spectacular two-day event, which takes place on 12th and 13th June, is being held in support of the Pied Piper Appeal and Cruse Bereavement Care Gloucestershire.
Celebrating the very best of motoring from vintage Marques to the hottest new models and cars of the future, this will be a great day out for the whole family. The Show is targeted at people across the county and is intended to become an annual event.
Motor Dealerships from across Gloucestershire will be displaying all their latest models in Highnam’s extensive parkland. World leader, Bridgestone Tyres will be bringing a Formula 1 car together with their fantastic F1 Simulator. Classic cars are not forgotten with Rolls Royces and Bentleys from the 1920s onwards, a De Lorean and very many more.
This really is a family day of fun for all ages (under 12’s can get in free with an accompanying adult) and there will be a dedicated supervised children’s marquee with plenty of hands-on activities. You can also choose from a wide variety of on-site food outlets including a specialist catering company as well as a Pimms Tent to complete the day out!
About the charities
Initially created in 1992 to fund a new children’s hospital for the county, the Pied Piper Appeal now reaches out to help sick children from across Gloucestershire in many different ways. The hard work of thousands of Pied Piper supporters has raised more than £2million to date and the funds have been used to build the new Children’s Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, refurbish and revitalise the children’s ward at Cheltenham General Hospital and help individual children to make life at home easier with hoists and other equipment.
Cruse Bereavement Care is the largest bereavement charity in the UK. Founded in 1959 it exists to help anyone affected by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss. Gloucestershire Cruse, based in Cheltenham, has a team of over 80 volunteers working on a voluntary basis to assist people in all parts of the County.
The Gloucestershire Motor Show will be sure to see a great deal of visitors over the two days and raise lots of money for these worthwhile causes.
