Rickerbys shortlisted at the MPF European Practice Management Awards 2009 - August 09
Leading Gloucestershire based law firm Rickerbys LLP has been shortlisted for the ‘Innovation in Practice’ and ‘Best Business Development/ Marketing Campaign’ categories at the 2009 Managing Partners Forum (MPF) European Practice Management Awards.
The ‘Innovation in Practice’ award is presented to the individual or management team that has pioneered an innovative initiative with impact, relevance and verifiable commercial value. Rickerbys has been shortlisted for this award for their “Your Present, Their Future” Wills service which has been developed after research highlighted the need to provide greater transparency and understanding of Wills. The package ranges from providing a simple Will through to the arrangement of Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts and other requirements depending upon the client’s individual needs, state of health, capacity and wealth.
The ‘Best Business Development/Marketing Campaign’ is awarded to the business development/marketing campaign which is innovative, well articulated, clear in its aims and objectives – and has achieved high levels of commercial success. Rickerbys has been shortlisted for this award for their Family Team marketing campaign around their family law services. The marketing initiative involved placing advertising campaigns every six months (January and September) in train stations, on buses and billboards. The Family team also introduced a Fixed Fee package as part of the campaign to alleviate some of the financial stresses for separating couples and launched the first Collaborative Law Pod in Gloucestershire.
The Practice Management Awards were first introduced by the MPF in 2002 to showcase the contribution of different disciplines (marketing, HR, technology, finance, facilities, and knowledge management) in managing a professional firm. The shortlist is judged by a panel of 30 senior management consultants and experts based in the UK, Europe, North America and Australia. The quality of entries is incredibly high, conferring significant prestige on those associated with the competition.
Anne Compton, Managing Partner at Rickerbys, said:
“Being shortlisted for these two awards is a great achievement for Rickerbys as a firm and highlights the firm’s aspirations to provide our clients with the best solutions to any legal problems. It is important for all businesses to continue to innovate in order continually to improve the services they offer. Furthermore, it has become increasingly more important for firms to market themselves correctly and differentiate themselves from competitors. I would like to congratulate all my colleagues who have contributed to these initiatives and campaigns.”
The winners will be selected and the results announced on 21 October at the Marriott Grosvenor Square, London.
