Rickerbys gains three new hires - April 07
Leading Gloucestershire law firm Rickerbys has announced three new hires across a number of departments in the wake of unprecedented growth.
The appointments include Assistant Solicitors Andrew Turner and Steven Murray who are working alongside partners Colin Gibson and Derek Jones within the firm’s litigation team and Barrister Ken McGuire.
Andrew Turner
Andrew joins Rickerbys from Clarke Willmott in Taunton. He has gained exposure to a very wide range of commercial and property litigation matters including landlord and tenant disputes, construction disputes, boundary claims, adverse possession claims, as well as contentious probate and inheritance act claims, professional negligence claims, commercial contract disputes, defamation actions and insurance and policy disputes. Andrew specialises in property litigation and plans to build upon the firm’s existing property expertise. Andrew qualified with City firm Clyde and Co in 2003.
Steven Murray
Steven joined Rickerbys from DWF in Liverpool where he qualified in 2004. Having gained experience in insurance litigation, Steven has dealt with clients such as large insurance companies as well as smaller businesses and private individuals. Rickerbys appealed to him as he wishes to gain more experience in commercial and intellectual property litigation.
Partner Colin Gibson believes that Andrew and Steven are a welcome addition to the fast expanding team: “They fit in well and their expertise has increased the value of services on offer.”
Ken McGuire
Ken joins the firm from 3 Paper Buildings, Bristol and London, where he practised in employment law and education law. Ken will be working alongside partners Alice Dodd and Matthew Clayton in the firm’s employment practice and Education Team.
“Our focus on legal solutions tailored to each client’s requirements has yielded not just repeat business, but a new and growing portfolio of clients. To meet this continuing need we only appoint the best lawyers in their respective fields and the latest additions to our firm will each play a vital role in the development of our services,” explains Anne Compton, Managing Partner.
