Melanie joined Rickerbys in 1992.
“I applied for an office junior role at Rickerbys through an advert in the Gloucestershire Echo and I was recruited immediately. Before long, I had completed my secretarial training, and worked for a legal executive and a partner, Henry Marshall. As Henry was the Head of Department I took on additional responsibilities as departmental administrator.
As a departmental administrator I am responsible for staff holidays, sickness, workloads, the training of new starters, Lexcel checks, social functions and general admin queries. During my time here I have been fire warden, systems secretary and part of the firm’s Charity and Social Committee. There is always plenty of variety!
I find Rickerbys a fun place to work, the rewards are good and the firm is very people focused.”
