Rickerbys will be hosting a seminar designed for Bursars and other members of the School Leadership Team to update you on current issues and developments facing the sector. Topics covered will include:

Employment Update
Kristine Scott will take you through recent developments in employment legislation and case law that directly affect independent schools and provide a heads up of any changes on the horizon.

Companies Act Update
Richard Knight will bring you up to speed with the changes introduced by the Companies Act 2006 including the currentposition on Charitable Incorporated Organisations.

Defending Challenges to your Parent Contract
Colin Gibson and Tim Walker will take you through some regular challenges by parents to your contractual terms and how to protect your School against these. This session will also explore the different options available to you to recover fees and the ways in which you can assist parents to meet their fee obligations and maintain the School’s cashflow.
